Life team activity

One of the major features of our school is the life group. Seikatsudan is a vertically connected group of students from 1st to 6th grade. There are 24 groups in total, each group having around 30 people. Seikatsu Group is also called the “second class,” and it plays an important role in children’s lives.
6th grade and 1st grade, 5th grade and 2nd grade, and 4th grade and 3rd grade each form a pair grade and have pairs that work together. The upper grades, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, are responsible for showing examples, teaching, and supporting their paired children.

Daily cleaning activities are also carried out by upper class students and even among the living groups. Furthermore, the Seikatsu Group also participates in many school events, such as growing one pot of chrysanthemums for each student, growing vegetables in the field, sports days, and school field trips.
Lower-class students experience the joy of being cherished and supported by everyone around them, and upper-class students experience the love they have for their small friends through the relationships they have with each other, and grow as a result. In particular, senior students will develop their leadership skills and increase their self-awareness and sense of responsibility.
At a time when vertical connections are becoming weaker in children’s lives, we are able to gain valuable life experiences.
